Jerry Ewers

Jerry has been an integral, indispensable part of the Muscatine Fire Department, participating in and prompting a long history of improvements and upgrades to our EMS system, in particular with the ambulance service that we started in 2000,” states Steve Dalbey, Fire Chief. As an Assistant Fire Chief with the department, Jerry is in charge of the EMS/Ambulance Service Program. He has proven himself dedicated to the provision of top quality emergency medical services as part of a high performance EMS system. He is fully proficient at maintaining and integrating our fire and EMS programs and will prove to be as proficient and involved in maintaining the same high level of performance of IEMSA as a member of its board.

Dan Glandon
|
|
Dan has been involved in EMS since 1980. He is retired from the U.S. Coast Guard where he began in EMS. He is currently a Base Paramedic Supervisor at Air Evac Lifeteam, Adjunct Faculty at Indian Hills Community College, and part-time Paramedic at Davis County Hospital. He also owns Continuing Education Solutions. Dan and his wife Suzan live in Hayesville and have four children.

Brandon Smith

Brandon Smith resides in West Liberty in Southeastern Iowa. He has been a member of the West Liberty Volunteer Fire Department since 1998 where he holds the position of Ambulance Director. Brandon received his initial EMT-B and EMT-I training from Eastern Iowa Community College and EMT-P training from the University of Iowa EMSLRC. He is active in both EMS and Fire education in West Liberty and surrounding area fire departments. He has been employed by the Iowa City Fire Department since 2001 where he is a shift EMS Coordinator, Fire Inspector/Investigator, and has an active role in both EMS and Fire education as well.
